Mo is a Humanist Celebrant licensed to conduct Legal Weddings, Elopements, Affirmation or Renewal of Vows
Mo is professional and well-organised and loves creating lighthearted ceremonies for the couples she marries and also helping them to have the ceremony they desire. It all starts with a meeting to talk about your story, or journey as a couple, which Mo then spins into an incredibly personalised and memorable ceremony!
As a Humanist Celebrant Mo believes your day should be exactly that – YOUR DAY YOUR WAY! She can help you choose the service you really want and will help guide you with various symbolic gestures, personal vows, poems and readings. Most Importantly Mo tells the story of your love and your journey as a couple.
Mo is always full of new ideas and likes to keep up to date with the latest Wedding trends! She can help you in the build up to your Big Day or even on the day to ensure that all your carefully laid plans are executed the way you want them and you can relax and enjoy the day.
Originally from the West Coast Mo now lives in Edinburgh and travels outwith the Edinburgh area on request.

“We had our wedding at Deer Park Golf & Country club in Livingston. We were lucky enough to have Mo Ackroyd as our celebrant. Literally everybody on the day was raving about how the ceremony was extremely personal and well executed by Mo. Mo extracted the perfect amount of information from us and encouraged us to enable us to create the perfect ceremony. We had regular contact with Mo who worked hard with nothing too much Hassle for her. People the following day are still telling us that it was ‘The best wedding ceremony’ they had ever witnessed. This aside it really was our ‘perfect day’ and we will be forever grateful to Mo. “Our family friend Mo conducted our small family wedding ceremony and I can’t explain how amazing she was, the ceremony itself was beautifully written, very personal, touching, and also funny, (she has great comedy timing) but everything else she did for us went well and above the call of duty!
She found us a great photographer, helped set up for our big day, nothing was too much bother! She had lots of great ideas and advised us well on what would work and what wouldn’t!
She was very sociable with everybody and all my family thought she was great! You can tell she really loves her job!!!
I asked my little boy the next day who was your favourite person at the wedding? He replied ‘I really liked Mo Taylor she was soooo funny’
